WORKSHOPS & ACTIVITIES
I’m new to face painting. Is this for me?
Yes. There will be workshops for all levels, from beginners to experienced pros.
I’m more into SFX. Will there be SFX classes?
Yes. There will be a dedicated SFX learning track.
Do I have to attend every workshop?
No. You can choose what interests you. Some classes may have morning sign-ups to help manage numbers.
When will the timetable be available?
We aim to release it by June 2026, if not earlier.
Will there be games and competitions?
Yes. Expect fun evening activities including the return of the Paint Olympics.
Will there be goody bags?
Yes. And they’ll be bloody good.
Will there be a shop at FABACAMP?
Yes. There will be a BODYFX shop on site with paints, brushes, and SFX gear.
What kit should I bring?
Bring a small kit of your essentials like paints, brushes, and SFX materials. If you don’t have much, you can buy from the shop. Some classes will be demos, so not everything will require hands-on gear.
COMMUNITY & GENERAL INFO
Do I need to be a working artist to come?
No. Just bring your curiosity and love for art.
Is there a minimum age to attend FABACAMP?
Yes. You must be at least 16 years old. No helicopter parents.
Will there be photographers or media at the event?
Yes. Our team will be snapping photos throughout the weekend. If you prefer not to be photographed, let us know. A media release form will be sent out ahead of time.
Who are the instructors and tutors?
We’re confirming the lineup now. Stay tuned for announcements.
Will there be an international artist?
Maybe. If we sell out, it becomes much more likely.
Why did the name change from FABACONZ to FABACAMP?
The word "convention" didn’t match the vibe. FABACAMP feels more like what it actually is — a creative training camp with shared rooms, community, and plenty of painty fun. Less kumbaya, more colour.
